This 17-year-old untreated girl was admitted with early morning myoclonic jerks that started 3 months earlier. During a full-night video-EEG recording, she showed repetitive bilateral myoclonic jerks of the upper limbs that progressively increased in frequency and intensity, realizing myoclonic status epilepticus, that terminated into a generalized clonic-tonic-clonic seizure.
