This young man presented at the age of 12 years with a 5-year history of multiple motor and phonic tics. He exhibits severe complex motor tics that consist mostly of compulsively banging his back into the wall. He also displays simple but loud expiratory phonic tics, often in synchrony with his back-banging. (Contributed by Dr. Joseph Jankovic.)
