This man suffered a head injury as a result of a motor vehicle accident. He displays complete ptosis from a residual right third nerve palsy, slow rest, postural, and kinetic tremor (cerebellar-outflow syndrome) of his left hand, indicative of a ride-sided midbrain lesion. The combination of a third nerve palsy and contralateral tremor is known as Benedikt syndrome. (Contributed by Dr. Joseph Jankovic.)
