This photograph depicts an intraoral view of a patient’s mouth exposing the abnormalities associated with the dentition, known as Hutchinson’s teeth, which resulted from a congenital syphilis infection by the bacterium, Treponema pallidum. Hutchinson’s teeth involves a narrowing and notching of the teeth, imparting a screwdriver-like shape to affected teeth, like these central incisors.
