Axial T2 (A), diffusion (B), precontrast T1 (C), postcontrast T1 (D), and FLAIR (E) weighted images at the level of the right frontal cavernous angioma. These lesions are typically popcorn-like, well-circumscribed lesions. A heterogenous core is typically due to varying stages of blood products and the lesion is often surrounded by a hypointense dark rim on the T2 weighted images.
