Axial brain sections on a susceptibility-weighted MRI sequence showing bilateral symmetrical calcification in a 31-year-old man with hypoparathyroidism and hypocalcemia. The calcification is evident as “blooming,” predominantly in bilateral basal ganglia (red arrow) and thalami (yellow arrow).
