Photograph shows the fissured tongue in a 38-year-old woman referred by her dentist for evaluation of recurrent swelling of the lower lip along with left hemifacial palsy. She was diagnosed with Melkersson-Rosenthal syndrome based on its three clinical features: recurrent facial palsy, orofacial swelling, and fissured tongue.
