X-rays of the left petrous temporal bone in the Stenvers position. This is actually a semi-schematic image that was enhanced with gouache (ie, opaque pigments ground in water and thickened with a gluelike substance). Note the erosion of the left petrous pyramid. (Contributed by Dr. Douglas Lanska.)
