During hyperventilation concomitant with generalized 3 Hz spike-wave discharges of higher amplitude frontal regions and a duration of about 5.5 seconds, the following episodes were recorded: (a) eyes open, no response, and rhythmic nodding of his head; and (b) initial single myoclonic jerking of upper limbs concomitant with eye-opening, no response, and rhythmic up-down jerking of his head.
