Sleep-EEG of 12-year-old female with a history of jerks on awakening. During the brief, about 1 second, generalized spike-and-wave discharge, her eyes opened, eyelids slightly jerked, and eyeballs turn upwards left. Eyes closed again immediately after the discharge. While awake, concomitant with myoclonic jerks, a transient eye-stare was also observed. She was also photosensitive to photic stimulation. (Contributed by Dr. Athanasios Covanis.)
