Cavernous sinus and the skull base

The left cavernous sinus is shown in red. The wall of the cavernous sinus has been removed on the right to show the internal carotid artery. Also, a portion of the skull has been removed on the right to show the contents of orbit. The levator palpebrae superioris and the superior rectus muscles have been resected.
