A 19-year-old patient developed cardiac arrest. When extubated, she was noted to be cortically blind. Diffusion-weighted MRI and corresponding ADC map (6 days after cardiac arrest) showed evidence for extensive predominantly cortical diffusion restriction most prominent in the right occipital cortex and bilateral basal ganglia.
