Color-flow imaging (triplex ultrasound) of the right vertebral artery after release of a blood pressure cuff shows complete flow inversion for the entire cardiac cycle during reactive hyperemia of the arm in a 43-year-old man evaluated for repeated transient ischemic attacks in the vertebrobasilar territory.
