Nonenhanced cranial CT scans demonstrate a hyperdense, lentiform extradural mass lesion consistent with acute epidural hemorrhage. The lesion is first identified at the level of the diencephalon (A) and extends over the lateral parietal convexity (B and C). The ipsilateral ventricular system is compressed (A and B), with obliteration of the occipital horn of the left lateral ventricle. Mass effect is exhibited over the convexity by sulcal effacement.
