Nonenhanced cranial CT scan (A) reveals a right frontoparietal acute epidural hematoma under an apparent fracture (arrow). Note extracranial soft-tissue swelling at the site of impact overlying the fracture. The CT scout film (B) demonstrates a complex left frontal skull fracture, the depressed nature of which is clearly delineated by cranial CT (C) with bone window attenuation (arrow).
