This EEG was recorded during an epileptic seizure involving insular and opercular areas characterized by laryngospasm. Interictal EEG failed to disclose any epileptic abnormalities. During the episode, the EEG tracing was masqueraded by muscular artifact. (Contributed by Dr. Federica Provini.)
