The boxes indicate the 25th to 75th percentile, the lines in the boxes the median, the lines outside the boxes at 1.5 standard deviations of the mean, and filled circles individual cases that exceed the standard deviation. ANOVA found the age at surgery different based on type of procedure, with hemispherectomy and multilobar resections occurring at a younger age than temporal resections and vagus nerve stimulator implantations.
