Ectopic neurohypophysis in a 3-week-old female with congenital hypopituitarism. (A) On sagittal spin-echo T1-weighted image (thickness/gap: 5/0 mm), a round focus of hyperintense signal (arrow) is seen at the anterior floor of the third ventricle whereas a normal T1-hyperintense neurohypophysis cannot be identified in the pituitary fossa. (B) On thinner T1-weigthed image (thickness/gap: 2/0 mm), the ectopic neurohypophysis (arrow) is more conspicuous. (Contributed by Dr. Xing-Chang Wei.)
