CT perfusion served as an excellent distal occlusion detector as seen in this image showing occlusion of the posterior division of the left middle cerebral artery in the M3 segment. It should be note that the area of Tmax > 6 seconds is over estimated, in this case related to signal in the orbits and posterior fossa. (Contributed by Dr. David Liebeskind.)
