Computed tomography shows a ring-enhancing lesion with an eccentric scolex along with perilesional edema. Ring-enhancing lesions represent dying stage of the cyst. Scolex is considered pathognomonic of neurocysticercosis. Year 2017 Clinical Practice Guidelines suggest albendazole therapy with corticosteroids for such patients.
