EEG at the onset of a focal seizure evolving to a convulsion. Note in the third second, interictal spikes that phase reverse at F8 and T2 (right frontotemporal) region. This is followed by a sustained rhythm in the fifth second with repetitive spike-and-waves prior to a brief attenuation. There is subsequent ictal fast activity maximally expressed in the right frontotemporal region that evolves into high amplitude, rhythmic theta propagating to the left greater than the right hemisphere.
